The shortened NBA season will begin December 25th. Apparently, NBA Commissioner David Stern didn't want to be on Saint Nicholas' naughty list.

I cannot believe how you went behind Commissioner Stern's back like that. The National Basketball Players Association and the owners are supposed to be working on a deal together, not apart.

I sure hope the NBA lockout ends soon. I can't really bear the feeling of an entire season lost.
